I was born in Hamburg, Germany and still live in this beautiful city.
Already during my schooldays I was interested in what was happening behind the film scenes. So I did internships in a production- and postproduction house and in a large film studio complex. After graduating I started a 2 year internship in a small postproduction house in Hamburg. I was taken over into permanent employment and worked there for another 5 years as an on- and offline editor for commercials, musicvideos and corporate films.
In 1995 I started my career as a freelance film editor. Since then I worked on countless projects in the music and advertising industry.

But my passion always was and still is editing commercials.

With more than 25 years of editing experience and being one of the first freelance editors in Germany using the Avid editing software I don’t let stress or special situations get to me and I always stay

focused on the task.
I have working experience in nearly every bigger city in Germany, in almost every european country and all over the world e.g. in China, Russia, the United States, Japan, Lebanon and

South Africa.

I also teach editing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.
My working tools are Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere Pro. I also have a laptop based editing system to work independently on set, in hotel rooms or at the beach.
I speak german and english.
